The Boston Common and Public Garden, also known as the Boston Common Park and the Boston Public Garden, are a set of two public parks located in Boston, Massachusetts. Boston Common, built 1634, is the oldest public park in the country, and the surrounding Boston Public Garden was originally a garden park that was built on marshy land that had been filled in. Today it is landscaped with grassy areas, stones, and boulders, which make it one of Boston’s most popular public places. It is located between Boylston and Cambridge.
